Cashmere

Cashmere is one of the world rarest textile raw materials. The cashmere we use is collected from the Cashmere goat in the Inner Mongolia Plateau in China. To keep out the cold winter, the Cashmere goat grows a layer of downy undercoat to fill in under the hair in Autumn. The goat grows in ecological environment, and its wool is free from any chemical pollution due to artificial feed. When weather turns warm in Spring, the layer of wool falls off by itself. So the collection of wool does not cause any harm to goat.

The collected wool go through ultraviolet light disinfection for killing pathogenic bacteria; and then manual selection for eliminating impurities; and then washed with environment-friendly detergent before separation with special machine for hair removal, and the thin and soft wool obtained upon hair removal is called dehaired goats wool or Cashmere.

As each goat grows very low quantity of wool each year, only 250-300g dehaired wool, the cashmere is rather expensive, and thus termed as fiber diamond. The cashmere is very fine, with fineness of 14.50-17.00 microns, so that the cashmere products feature smooth touch, soft and warm. Additionally, the cashmere products are not easy to deform from wearing or washing for the special nature of the surface flake of cashmere fiber.

The Chinese cashmere has tiny fineness, long fiber and best quality, and its yield accounts for about 60% of the whole world.
